AUFTAC OBJECTIVES

To take AUFTAC from a problem solving (operational) focus to a strategic direction that provides the support framework for members to reach the preferred position in 2010 and keep AUFTAC vibrant, dynamic and valuable.

  • Ensure that AUFTAC achieves effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Actively position AUFTAC to raise awareness of its role in the horticulture industry, to foster stakeholder involvement and encourage two-way communication.
  • Provide staff development opportunities.
  • Facilitate improvement customer relation skills within the sector.
  • Generate awareness within the distribution sector of the global trend to demand chain management and it's impact on business.
  • Improve the profitability of distribution businesses.
  • Ascertain the food safety requirements for distribution.
  • Develop a database of microbiological tests to validate sanitation procedures.
  • Promote professional excellence in the transportation of horticultural products whether it be by rail, road, air or sea.
  • To encourage members to be strong and united, to service their clients in an efficient, knowledgeable and responsible manner with high quality equipment and "Best Practice" operational procedures.
  • To provide members with the necessary forum to address facing their sectors in a timely way and to their satisfaction.
